Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 31, 2024
Welcome to Sort Frenzy. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we use and safeguard it when you play our games, Sort Frenzy and Fruit Frenzy.
1. Information We Collect
We believe in minimal data collection. We only collect what is necessary to operate and improve our games. The information we may collect on the Site includes:
Anonymous Usage Data
When you play Sort Frenzy or Fruit Frenzy, we use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated data to help us improve the game. This data is not personally identifiable and is used to understand player behavior at a high level. This includes:
- Gameplay Events: Such as levels completed, high scores, session length, and in-game actions (e.g., using a power-up). This helps us balance the game and identify areas for improvement.
- Performance Metrics: Such as loading times and frame rates, to help us identify and fix technical issues and optimize performance across different devices.
This data is completely anonymous and is not linked to any personal identifiers. We do not track your IP address or any specific device identifiers for this purpose.
Player Reviews
If you voluntarily choose to leave a review for one of our games, we collect the following information:
- The star rating you provide (1 to 5).
- The text comment you write.
- An anonymous, randomly generated User ID provided by Firebase Authentication's anonymous sign-in feature. This ID allows us to associate a review with a player session but does not reveal your real-world identity. We do not collect your name, email, or any other personally identifiable information for reviews.
2. Use of Your Information
Having accurate, non-personal information permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we may use information collected about you via the Site to:
- Compile anonymous statistical data and analysis for use internally to improve our games.
- Display user-submitted reviews to other players to build a community and provide social proof.
- Monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve the functionality, stability, and fun of the game.
- Ensure the proper functioning of our advertising partners' services.
3. Advertising and Third-Party Partners
We use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit the Site, which allows us to keep the games free-to-play. These companies may use information about your visits to this and other websites that are contained in web cookies in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you.
Our primary ad partner is Google AdSense, including their H5 Games Ads program. These services are essential for funding the development and maintenance of our games. You can review Google's privacy policy here. We may also use other ad providers like Adsterra, whose privacy policies can be found on their respective websites.
4. Data Security, Retention, and User Rights
We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your information. We use industry-standard services like Firebase to store and manage data, which benefit from Google's robust security infrastructure.
Data Retention: We retain anonymous analytics data indefinitely to help with long-term trend analysis. Player reviews are kept as long as the game is active, but since they are tied to an anonymous ID, they cannot be used to identify you.
Your Rights: As we do not collect personally identifiable information, the standard rights of access, rectification, and erasure under regulations like GDPR may not apply in the traditional sense. However, if you have submitted a review and wish for it to be removed, you can contact us with the approximate date and content of the review, and we will do our best to locate and delete it.
5. Children's Privacy
Our games are intended for a general audience and are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us so we can delete the information.
6. Contact Us
If you have questions or comments about this Privacy Policy, or if you have any concerns about your data, please contact us through the form on our Contact page.
